August's PET OF THE MONTH
Frankie - Professionally Opinionated

Meet Frankie: Professionally Opinionated. Seeking a Full-Time Human.
Age: 10+ years
Sex: Male
Frankie is a senior gentleman with a very simple philosophy:
People? Fantastic.
Cats? No thank you.
Dogs? Absolutely not.
Most other life forms? Also no.
Frankie is completely people-centric. He doesn't just want to be near you—he wants to be part of whatever you're doing. Watching TV? He's there. Working? He's supervising. Making dinner? He's conducting quality control. Walking away without him? Expect a gentle ankle reminder that your departure request has been denied. If there are people around, that's exactly where Frankie wants to be.
Frankie has never met a person he didn't want to greet, but he's also a firm believer that communication is important. Sometimes he wants more pets. Sometimes he wants fewer. Sometimes he'll give you a tiny "attention please" nip just to make sure you're listening. He's not being naughty—he's simply fluent in Frankie. Think of those little nips as punctuation marks in an ongoing conversation.
After more than two years waiting for a forever home, Frankie is looking for someone who appreciates a cat with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. Once he chooses you, he's incredibly loyal, loves being by your side, and wants to be involved in everything you do.
Frankie takes one small thyroid pill each day—it's easy, inexpensive, and keeps him feeling his best. If you've always believed the best cats come with a little extra character, a little sass, and a lot of love, Frankie may be exactly the roommate you've been waiting for.
No cats. No dogs. No roommates of the furry variety. Just one professionally opinionated gentleman looking for his happily ever after.

Sex: Male
Story:
Joey was trapped in late July and was socialized on his own for 3 weeks until he joined Rachel and Phoebe in another foster home. Joey is incredibly sweet but still learning how to relate to his new environment. Once he's comfortable, he loves to lie on your lap, take churro treats and purr away – however, he does take a little time to get used to new people. Rachel and Phoebe are his new friends and they have re-taught him how to be a kitten and he is loving the chasing, romping and fun of his kitten friends. Given how social they are he is learning that he doesn't have to hide. He is also making friends with the older cats and dogs in his foster home. Joey will be ready on Sept. 2nd for adoption but you can apply now and meet him.
