JVC routinely microchips both friendly, social cats and feral cats that are trapped, neutered, and returned. Our experience shows that JVC microchips consistently save cat lives by informing us if a cat we’ve cared for is injured or taken to the vet for any reason. This identification has often enabled JVC to collaborate with the vet or individual who has taken in the cat to ensure the best care. We support microchipping all animals and look forward to future microchips with GPS tracking capabilities. While AirTag trackers work well for dogs, cats often manage to remove collars. We encourage rescue organizations and individuals to microchip more animals, thereby reducing the daily reports of missing pets.
