At Joyce's Voice for Cats, most of the kittens we save begin their lives outdoors. They may be born under sheds, mobile homes, porches, or abandoned buildings to community cats who have spent their lives surviving on the streets. Thanks to TNR programs, these kittens get a second chance at a life they otherwise may never have known.

What Is TNR?

TNR stands for Trap-Neuter-Return, a humane approach to reducing the population of homeless cats. Adult community cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to the area they call home if they are healthy and not socialized enough to become pets. When kittens are found young enough to be socialized, they enter foster homes where they receive veterinary care, proper nutrition, and—most importantly—learn that people can be trusted.

Our fosters and volunteers hold our adopters hands throughout the adoption process. We will help as much or as little as our kittens new owners require as we want all adoptions to be successful, happy adoptions.
